Born in 1850, Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel was the youngest of 10 children. He left home at an early age and learned his craft in whiskey making from Dan Call, a Lutheran preacher. Jack Daniel assumed control of the distillery while still in his teens, and was the first to register his distillery ith the United States Government in 1866. "Mr.Jack" watched his Tennessee Whiskey become world famous during his lifetime.
Today Jack Daniel's Old No.7 Brand Old-Time Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey is still made with Jack Daniel's original recipe. It's charcoal-mellowed smooth, drop by drop, through 10 feet of charcoal made from sugar maple. Like the whiskey, the black and white label has become world famous. Available in more than 130 countries, Jack Daniel's Old No.7 continues to make friends around the world.
Now the classic Old No.7 graphics and the distinctive bottle appear on a masterful die-cast replica. The images come straight from the archives at Jack Daniel Distillery. This replica also captures the qualities that made the 1932 Ford AA an automotive classic, including its handsome chrome-finished grille, louvres on each side of the engine compartment and the large storage area in back, ample space for carrying plenty of Jack Daniel's. Issued to commemorate the 150th birthday of Jack Daniel, this officially authorized die-cast model has been produced by - and available only from - Matchbox Collectibles.
